Me and My Girl

This delightful song-and-dance musical, a smart re-working of a popular 1930s British romp, was a surprising hit in London in 1984, and an even bigger surprise when it triumphed on Broadway in 1986. One of the funniest shows ever written, Me and My Girl is a kind of reverse My Fair Lady, with a Cockney lad suddenly learning that he has inherited an earldom, and now he must learn how to be a more refined British gentleman before he can take his place as head of the stuffy household.
