Mame

Following his success with Hello, Dolly! composer Jerry Herman turned his attention to another extravagant leading lady - the Bohemian Auntie Mame - and the result was another melodic Broadway hit. Spannng the eras from the 1920s through the 1940s, the adventures of Mame Dennis and her orphaned nephew Patrick spin from New York penthouse, to summer stock operetta, to Southern plantation, and to snobbish Connecticut, with several other stops along the way. A testament to living life to the fullest, this extravagant show is a showcase for a dazzling leading lady, as well as other rewarding characters.
