My Son Pinocchio (Disney's)

The Disney TV film “Geppetto,” with its tuneful Stephen Schwartz score, provided the basis for this expanded stage version. The story of the wooden puppet Pinocchio, magically brought to life by the Blue Fairy, and then going on a quest to become “a real boy,” offers humor, adventure, and a heartwarming conclusion. Pinocchio’s capture by the humorously operatic puppeteer Sromboli, and the sinister temptations of “Pleasure Island,” are colorfully depicted, and a well- animated video created by Timothy Babb is available for the moment Pinocchio and Geppetto are swallowed by the whale.
