Singin' in the Rain

This is one of several MGM film titles which were unsuccessfully brought to Broadway but have done very well in regional theatres. This show, of course, requires extensive technical elements: creating four film sequences; shifting scenery to 14 locations in Act One; and most importantly, having it rain onstage. Selected costumes and props were made for our 2012 production.

Costumes

Our inventory for this show includes only the “green dress” for the Cyd Charisse character seen in the Broadway Ballet, and a collection of yellow raincoats for a full-cast finale. (Anyone who needs the orchestrations for the extended Broadway Ballet, based on the ballet in the film and sanctioned by Betty Comden and Adolph Green, may contact us and we will put you in touch with its arranger / orchestrator.)
